In 1962, Reg Sprigg and party were the first to complete a motorised crossing of tithe Simpson Desert. It was this feat of endurance and navigational skills that inspired adventurer and tour guide Vic Widman to lead a group on the first crossing in 2012. Fifty years later the adventures of Vic’s group were quite different to those of the exploration party but no
less challenging.
