Topographic New South Wales Government Maps
Topographic New South Wales Government Maps are the main maps for bushwalking in NSW. At a scale of 1:25,000, 1:50,000 & 1:100,00.
New South Wales is covered by three different scales of maps: 1:25,000 (LPI) — 1km = 4cm. (Mainly Eastern NSW). 1:50,000 (LPI) — 1km = 2cm. (Mainly Central NSW). 1:100,000 (LPI) — 1km = 1cm. (Mainly Western NSW).
Topographic New South Wales Maps:
These maps are now not printed by the N.S.W. government but A.B.C. Maps still have some remaining originals.
A.B.C. Maps print the maps that are no longer available. They are a one sided map with the same detail as the originals as they are still obtained from the N.S.W. government site.
Originals have the Orthophoto images on the reverse side. Orthophoto is an aerial image which is then scaled to the same size as the map.
